Minnesota Wild beat Toronto Maple Leafs in first game of a back-to-back on Wednesday night

The Minnesota Wild took down the Toronto Maple Leafs last night, 3-1.

The Wild, without left winger Kirill Kaprizov, put up an encouraging defensive performance behind goalie Filip Gustavsson’s 32 saves. Marcus Foligno, Marat Khusnutdinov and Jared Spurgeon all ended with a goal for the Wild. Minnesota jumped its record to 30-17 while Toronto dropped back to 30-19.

Minnesota continue its road trip tonight at 6:00 when it takes on the Montreal Canadiens.
