The No. 3 Carrington Cardinals used a late run to beat the Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier (EKM) Rebels on Thursday night, 55-45.
Carrington (15-1) had plenty of scorers, but sophomore guard Aniston Hoornaert led the way with 13 points. For EKM (9-7), the Rebels got a big contribution from senior forward Libby Mathern, who dropped 16 points.
Up next, Carrington will visit undefeated South Prairie-Max on Monday night. The Royals are the No. 1 team in Division A in the latest poll. EKM will stay on the road and play Linton/HMB on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
