The STAR Fund, a request totaling up to $332,400 to support local businesses and communities, was approved by the Williston City Commission.
The grants are awarded to business and community projects that are meant to fuel economic growth, job creating, and business development in Williston.
The Williston STAR Fund is supported by a one-cent city sales tax that was approved by voters. 75% of its revenue is made to offset city infrastructure costs, and the remaining 25% is used for retention efforts, business development and job creation.
