University of North Dakota administrators support a bill that would advocate $55 million to add more to the university’s medical school facilities.
Senate Bill 2286 would cover more than half of the cost of the three-story addition to the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. If the funding is approved, the university would look to move multiple programs into the building, with the entire College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines in the new facility.
The addition would also replace space at the aging Columbia Hall and Nursing Buildings, both of which are in poor condition, according to a regular Facility Condition Assessment.
