Omaha retains first place in Summit League with win over North Dakota Thursday night

From Omaha, the Mavericks beat the North Dakota Fighting Hawks yesterday and dropped the Hawks record to 9-16 after an 80-77 win.

Omaha’s JJ White led all scorers with 24 points and eight assists. The Fighting Hawks were assisted by Mier Panoam and Amar Kuljuhovic who both dropped 17 points. Omaha is now 9-1 in the Summit League, giving the Mavericks first place over the rest of the field. St. Thomas is in second place with an 8-2 record.

The Hawks continue the road trip with a game at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow in Kansas City.
