The North Dakota State Bison women’s golf team wrapped up play at the Mountain Classic Match Play in Palm Desert, California. The team closed out the final round with a 4-0-1 win over Portland State.
NDSU lost to St. Thomas on day one, 4-0-1. The team then beat Wyoming 4-0-1 on Tuesday. In the win over Portland State, the Bison’s Avery Bartles used three pars and two birdies over the last five holes to help secure a 6&4 win. Norah Roberts beat Cynthia Ong for a 1&0 win in her match. Madi Hicks earned two birdies in the last three holes to win 4&3.
The Bison will play at the Jackrabbit Invitational in their next tournament from March 10 to March 11 in Boulder City, Nevada at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
