A new set of Class A boys and girls high school basketball polls were released recently, with not a lot of changes to the girls side, BUT we have a new number 1 on the boys side! #1 last week Kindred took a loss to Moorhead, and now a new team sits atop the Class A Poll.
The Class A Boys poll goes as shown:
1. Devils Lake 16-0 (+1)
2. Kindred 16-1 (-1)
3. Shiloh Christian 15-3 (-)
4. Killdeer 15-2 (-)
5. Thompson 12-5 (-)
Also receiving votes in the poll was Four Winds-Minnewaukan, and Beulah.
The Class A Girls Poll goes as shown:
1. South Prairie-Max 19-0 (-)
2. Valley City 19-2 (-)
3. Devils Lake 17-3 (-)
4. Kindred 16-4 (-)
5. Thompson 15-4 (-)
Also receiving votes in the poll was Carrington and Turtle Mountain.

Starting Monday February 24th, we will begin our coverage of the Class B Region 1 girls tournament with wall to wall coverage from the first round, all the way to the championship on Thursday.
