Parents, friends and fans of eight teams gathered at the Jamestown Civic Center on Monday night. By the end, four teams remained in the Division B, Region 1 Girls Tournament. Those teams were Linton/HMB, Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier (EKM), Maple River and LaMoure-Litchville/Marion (LLM).
Wyndmere/Lidgerwood lost to Linton/HMB 46-32 to start the day. Then, EKM beat Sargent County 41-39. In Game 3, Maple River downed Kidder County 55-41. In the Monday finale, LLM beat Oakes 46-31.
The tournament semifinals begins at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday when Linton/HMB plays EKM at the Civic Center. 20 minutes after that game, Maple River will play LLM with the chance to go to the tournament final.
