The Linton/HMB Lions beat the Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rebels 41-34 to advance to the final game of the Division B, Region 1 girls basketball tournament in Jamestown on Tuesday. In the other semifinal game, LaMoure-Litchville/Marion (LLM) and the Loboes beat the Maple River Raiders 60-51.
The third place game between EKM and Maple River will start at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. 20 minutes after, the region championship game will go with Linton/HMB and LLM in a rematch from the Division B, District 2 championship game. Linton/HMB beat LLM in the district championship last week, 68-59.
