Unseasonably warm temperatures are forecasted to stick around North Dakota as an early spring looks to be upon us.

Two weeks ago record colds were being set across the state as an arctic blast battered the region for an extended period. Now, we are looking at extended forecasts showing mainly 40s, even some 50 degree days in early March. Only a brief period in mid-March is expected to have a few days with temperatures that don’t exceed freezing.

Precipitation forecasts show only scattered areas of rain showers, or brief overnight dusting of snow.

Things can change quickly, but right now it looks like a pleasant March is in store for the region.
