Red, black and white confetti splashed the court at the Jamestown Civic Center after the LaMoure-Litchville/Marion (LLM) girls beat Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock (HMB) girls 45-29 on Thursday night. As winners of Region 1 in Division B, LLM (20-4) will go to the state tournament next week.
Linton HMB (19-6) was led by Jersey Vogel, who dropped 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Loboes Onika Lesko scored 17 points and earned a double-double with 12 rebounds.
LaMoure-Litchville/Marion will participate in the Division B Girls State Tournament at the Jamestown Civic Center. The tournament starts on Thursday, March 6. Linton/HMB will play on Saturday against Hatton-Northwood in the state qualifier at Mayville State University.
Both state qualifiers at Mayville State and the Division B State Tournament can be heard live on KSJB radio.
