The Minnesota Twins’ Derek Falvey will replace longtime president Dave St. Peter on Monday. St. Peter will move into a strategy advisor role. The team announced Thursday that the official switch will be made by Monday after it was initially announced months prior.

Falvey has spent eight years as the Twins’ president of baseball operations. Falvey will now oversee all baseball and business operations. Jeremy Zoll was recently promoted to general manager but Falvey is still expected to contribute to roster management and construction.

“St. Peter will continue to partner with the Pohlad family, Falvey and Twins executive leadership to provide guidance on a range of key development issues, includes the continued long-term evolution of Target Field and the club’s new broadcast partnership with Major League Baseball, among others,” the Twins said in a press release.

The Twins continue Spring Training until opening day on March 27 at St. Louis.
