Higher seeds dominate in opening round of Division B, District 2 Boys Basketball Tournament Friday

Four higher seeds won at the Jamestown Civic Center in the quarterfinals of the Division B, District 2 Boys Basketball Tournament on Friday.

No. 1 Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier beat Strasburg/Zeeland 71-28. No. 4 Medina-Pingree/Buchanan beat No. 5 Ellendale 65-47. No. 2 Linton/HMB handled No. 7 Kidder County 67-31. In the last game of the day, No. 3 LaMoure-Litchville/Marion beat No. 6 Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter 58-39.

Strasburg/Zeeland will face Ellendale in the loser-out game at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. 20 minutes after, Kidder County will play Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter in the same type of game. After, Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier will play Medina-Pingree/Buchanan and Linton/HMB will face LaMoure-Litchville/Marion in the semifinal games.
