
Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock (HMB) and Benson County’s girls basketball teams will be involved with six other teams at Division B’s state tournament after wins in the State Qualifiers on Saturday.
In the first game at 5:00, Linton/HMB beat Hatton-Northwood 48-43 to advance. The Lions’ Brooklyn Schumacher added 23 points to lead Linton/HMB’s offense.
In the second game, Benson County beat Maple River to move on to the state tournament. The Wildcats were led by Aubrey Kenner, who dropped a game high 24 points.
The Division B Girls State Basketball Tournament will begin on March 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jamestown Civic Center. Kenmare/Bowbells will play Grant County/Mott-Regent in the first game of the tournament. Later, Central McLean will play Langdon Area-Munich. Then Lewis & Clark – Berthold will face Linton/HMB. In the last game of the quarterfinals at 8:15, Benson County will test LaMoure-Litchville/Marion.
