A new poll of North Dakotans shows strong support for property tax credit increases and same sex marriage rights.
The poll, commissioned by the North Dakota News Cooperative, shows that 64% of state residents support a three-percent annual cap on property tax increases. This is a plan supported by Governor Kelly Armstrong and a majority of the State House.
The poll also showed 56% of residents support the Supreme Court Ruling that ensured a constitutional right to same-sex marriage nationwide, with only 36% disagreeing. Currently, the North Dakota House is seeking to remove protections for same-sex marriage in the state Constitution.
The poll was conducted February 27 to March 2 and has a margin of error of four-point-four percent.
