Kenmare/Bowbells and Benson County to play for Girls Division B State Basketball Championship on Saturday

After two days at the Division B Girls State Basketball Tournament, only Kenmare/Bowbells and Benson County have not lost. Both will now match up in the championship game at 8:00 on Saturday night.

Kenmare/Bowbells beat Central McLean in the semifinals 52-49. In the other semifinals, Benson County beat Lewis & Clark (LC) – Berthold 59-51. In the later two consolation semifinals, Langdon Area/Munich (LAM) beat Grant County/Mott-Regent (GCMR) 66-57. Then, Linton/HMB beat LaMoure-Litchville/Marion (LLM) 61-44.

The results set up a Saturday which will feature a seventh, fifth, and third place game with a championship finale. At 1:00 p.m., LLM will play GCMR for seventh place. In the fifth place game, Linton/HMB will play LAM 20 minutes after the seventh place game. At 6:00 p.m., LC – Berthold will play Central McLean for third place. The finale will be the championship game at 8:00 p.m. when Kenmare/Bowbells and Benson County battle for the state championship.
