In a packed FargoDome, the Bismarck Century boys beat Fargo Davies for the Division AA basketball state title on Saturday night, 59-50.
Bismarck Century’s state winner was fueled by Drew Kempel’s 23 points, which led the Patriots. Fargo Davies was led by Illinois State commit Mason Klabo.
Kempel, Garrett Nissley and sophomore Gibson Kinnebrew were named to the State All-Tournament Team. Fargo Davies’ Klabo and forward Colton Reinke also made the team. Klabo was also honored as the Senior Athlete of the Year.
Bismarck Century ended its season with a 26-1 record. Fargo Davies finished with a 20-7 overall record.
