Brucellosis Vaccination Extension Announced

By Ryan King Mar 18, 2025 | 9:29 AM

During recent meetings, the North Dakota Department of Agriculture and State Board of Animal health has issued an extension on the waiver rule allowing the age of brucellosis vaccinations to be extended from 12 months to 14 months for heifers.

A shortage of vaccines has challenged producers and veterinary clinics, leading to the extension, and the following steps to proceed will be discussed at the next board meetings, while the extended waiver will be revisited during the Board of Animal Health meeting on July 11th.
