Division B Boys State Quarterfinal winners show strength with double digit wins in first day of tournament

All four teams to win at the Division B Boys State Basketball Tournament on Thursday did so by at least 11 points at the Minot State Dome.

Starting the day on the campus of Minot State University, No. 2 Our Redeemer’s took down No. 7 Oakes 50-39. After, No. 3 Bishop Ryan beat No. 6 Hankinson 45-26. In the third game of the day, No. 1 Wilton-Wing put together a big second half to beat No. 8 New Rockford-Sheyenne 69-53. Lastly, No. 5 Westhope/Newburg beat No. 4 North Border 62-39.

All games on Friday and Saturday will be broadcast live on KSJB radio. The day starts at 12:40 p.m. when the pregame show goes live with Our Redeemer’s playing Bishop Ryan. The other semifinal game between Wilton-Wing and Westhope/Newburg will begin at 2:45 p.m. Later on, the consolation semifinals will start with Oakes playing Hankinson at 6:30 p.m. and North Border facing New Rockford-Sheyenne at 8:15 p.m.
