North Dakota legislators gathered at a meet and greet at Gladstone Inn & Suites over the weekend and expressed strong optimism about the Bison World project planned for Jamestown. The proposed $100-$200 million cultural and entertainment park near Interstate 94 would feature an amphitheater and museums focused on the American bison. Local representatives, including Rep. Mitch Ostlie and Sen. Cole Conley, believe Governor Kelly Armstrong is supportive after a recent project presentation. Lawmakers hope to break ground in spring 2026, seeing the project as a way to diversify the state’s economy beyond agriculture and energy. While no specific state funding is currently earmarked, legislators are exploring development and tourism grant options to support the initiative.
