Mega Millions will begin selling its new game in the state of North Dakota that is meant to potentially increase payouts.

According to ND lottery interim director Randy Miller, the ‘Megaplier’ add on feature will be replaced with a built-in multiplier, meaning those who had won $2 in the old game could now win $10 or $50 in the new game. The ticket price for Mega Millions will increase to $5 per play. This is only the second price adjustment in the game’s history since the first ticket sold over 15 years ago. It is also the first change since the current game conditions were adopted in 2017.

The new game will begin selling on April 5, with the first drawing held on April 8 at 10:00 p.m.
