Moorhead man found unresponsive in Red River

A 63-year-old Moorhead man was found unresponsive in the Red River on Wednesday by the Moorhead Fire Department. Dispatched to locate a missing person, they pulled the man from the water and transported him to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, where life-saving efforts failed. His name is being withheld pending family notification. The Moorhead Police Department is investigating the circumstances of how he entered the water, and an autopsy will be conducted by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
