New indoor baseball and softball practice facility in the works for Jamestown

Jamestown’s Finance and Legal Committee unanimously recommended a purchase agreement Tuesday with Eagles Nest LLC for a city-owned lot to develop an indoor baseball and softball practice facility. The $76,000 property is located near 12th Avenue and 5th Street Southeast. The committee also discussed a potential $1 million forgivable loan from the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp. to support residential housing development, contingent on the approval of Senate Bill 2225. Additionally, the committee recommended introducing an ordinance to prohibit camping on public property within Jamestown city limits.
