NBA Commissioner Adam Silver provides updates on Timberwolves, Lynx sale

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver provided an update on the process of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx sale after a meeting with the Board of Governors’ on Thursday. The commissioner reported that owner Glen Taylor is considering his options and talking with Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez about the sale of the franchises.

Taylor is the team’s current owner and called off the sale of the Wolves and Lynx last March, a move that would have given the control to Lore and Rodriguez. After Taylor canceled the sale, an arbitration panel ruled in favor of Lore and Rodriguez, and the two are attempting to complete the process while Taylor remains the majority owner.

The current expectation is that Taylor will not challenge the arbitration ruling.
