A North Dakota bill considering an end to daylight savings time in North Dakota has been adjusted to go into effect if other states do the same.

The bill would have originally moved the state to a permanent standard time. A proposed amendment would make the time change a trigger law for permanent standard time if the states of Minnesota, Montana and South Dakota do the same. Another amendment would allow the state to observe permanent Daylight Saving Time if the federal government allows it and the other three states also do the same.

As of now, the Senate State and Local Government Committee have not taken action.
