As first reported by the Jamestown Sun, the Jamestown Fire Department was dispatched to a Montana-Dakota Utilities substation on Saturday to respond to a natural gas leak.
The department was dispatched at 3:53 p.m. to a small building behind Dakota Engine Builders at 2809 Highway 281 S. A technician from Montana-Dakota Utilities in Valley city responded to the call with the firefighters to make sure the gas had stopped and that the source was extinguished.
According to Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther, there was no damage and no injuries.
