North Dakota State baseball freshman outfielder Dante Smith has been named the Kwik Star Summit League Peak Male Newcomer of the Month.
Smith hit .361 with a .509 slugging percentage in 16 games in March. Smith had three multi-RBI games and eight multi-hit games. Smith also nearly hit for the cycle against Northern Colorado on March 23, hitting two singles and a double and triple.
North Dakota State starts a three-game series at Omaha on Friday. First pitch is tabbed for 4:00 p.m.
