North Dakota Receiving Federal Grant For Opioid Treatment

RON JORDAN, KSJB LOCAL NEWS –

North Dakota is receiving twelve-million dollars over the next three years for opioid treatment and prevention. Four-million dollars a year will be sent to a number of organizations who fight opioid abuse, including public health groups, education programs, reservations and the Department of Corrections. It will also allow for individuals to receive Narcan at no cost. The funding will be managed by North Dakota Health and Human Services.
