Wahpeton residents now have a second local health care option. Essentia Health is opening a walk-in clinic on 11th Street South that will be open Monday through Friday, with no appointment. Essentia says the clinic will offer an intermediate level of care, including lab tests and x-rays. The new clinic joins the Sanford Wahpeton Clinic providing local care. Residents seeking critical emergency care will still need to go to Fargo or elsewhere.
