Members of the Service Employees International Union, also known as the SEIU, started a planned six-day strike Monday at Essentia Health’s Deer River clinic and nursing home.
Union members are asking for what they consider affordable wages. Members say after meeting with Essentia multiple times, the SEIU and Deer River employees have yet to come to an agreement.
