Minnesota Twins could move third baseman to another spot on the diamond as part of offseason rehaul

After a season in which the team missed the playoffs, the Minnesota Twins are looking to mix things up. Part of this change may be moving third baseman Royce Lewis to second base. Twins’ President of Baseball Operations Derek Falvey said that it’s all dependent on how the offseason plays out, but they have thought about the possibility.

“Some of that will depend on the personnel we acquire, don’t acquire and how that all shakes out. We want him to stay open-minded to that and we’ll have that conversation,” Falvey said when speaking to reporters.

Minnesota will return to the diamond in Fort Myers, Florida when Spring Training begins in February of 2025.
