RON JORDAN, KSJB LOCAL NEWS –

The Jamestown Police Department responded to a report of gunshots fired in northeast Jamestown. Police Chief Scott Edinger says officers responded to Leapaldt Park in the 1500 block of 9th Avenue Northeast in Jamestown shortly before 6 p.m.

A Native American man wearing dark-colored baggy clothing approached and confronted two men and two juveniles. The Native American man told the four individuals to leave the park and then fired at least two rounds from a handgun in the general direction of the four people before fleeing southeast of the area.

Police are still on the lookout for the suspect.
