A study by WalletHub suggests that North Dakota is the fifth best state to find a job in 2024. The study compared the 50 states across 34 key indicators of job-market strength and economic health and used these factors to determine the best places to work. North Dakota finished behind New Hampshire, Vermont, Minnesota, and Massachusetts in the rankings. The Peace Garden State is tied for the lowest unemployment rate at 2.3%.
The states at the bottom of the rankings are Alaska, Kentucky, Indiana, and Louisiana. West Virginia was rated as the worst state to find a job.
