By Patrick McColl Nov 20, 2024 | 3:37 PM

In a 4-0 vote, the Jamestown Finance and Legal Committee recommended approval to amend utility rates in the city in 2025.

Utility changes include changing the fees for water meters and adding a seven-day minimum rental for hydrant meter rentals. The biggest of the price jumps will be for those who own a 2-inch water meter, as the price of the fee will rise from $4 to nearly $9.

The Committee also approved a request to fund $125,000 towards Jamestown Tourism to help tourism sites and events and in recruitment of visitors to the Jamestown.
