A North Dakota Highway Patrol vehicle was hit from behind while attempting to control traffic for a tow operator. The Highway Patrol said in a press release that the vehicle was in the left lane with its emergency lights activated while running traffic control for a tow operator who was removing a vehicle from the median.

During this, the State Trooper says the rear part of their vehicle was hit by a Chevrolet Traverse. The Patrol car was reportedly pushed into the right lane, and the traverse entered the median. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to damages.

The State Trooper was taken to a medical facility for minor injuries. The 31-year-old driver of the Traverse was not injured but was reportedly charged for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and for having no insurance.
