A crash involving three semis on I-94 near Mapleton injured two people Sunday night.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. when one semi travelling eastbound lost control and jackknifed into the median. Another semi behind tried to brake, and also jackknifed. An SUV with two people inside then crashed into the back of the trailers. The driver, 26-year-old Williametta Barkar of West Fargo suffered minor injuries and was able to exit the vehicle before another semi braked and crashed into the SUV. The driver of that semi, 73-year-old Barry Nasea of Canada, was also injured.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident. No charges have been filed.
