Body cameras on your cashier? That’s the reality now at many of the big box stores you visit everyday.
Walmart recently announced plans for their employees to wear the devices at locations that have experienced high amounts violent incidents. Walmart officials say this is to ensure customer and employee safety, and not to deter theft. TJ Maxx and Marshalls have already begun requiring some employees to wear the body camera devices.
North Dakota is a one-party consent state, with laws protecting camera usage and recording on private property and in most public spaces.
