Firefighters put out fire at Homeless encampment near downtown Fargo

As reported by KVRR, fire crews near the Red River in Fargo put out a fire at a homeless encampment near downtown on Friday morning.

The crews reportedly put out the fire rather quickly. The fire was reported at 8:21 a.m. near the Red River in the 500-blcok of Oak Street. A fire engine, two ambulances and Fargo police responded.

It is not clear if anyone was injured in the fire and there was no immediate word on the cause for the fire.
