After an investigation by the North Dakota Insurance Department, it was found that Tyler Bjerke gifted 182 pub-style tables to clients and potential clients, with each estimated with a value of around $214.

As a result, Bjerke has been fined $136,500 and his license to sell insurance in North Dakota has been placed on probation for four years for violating the state’s rebating laws.

The state’s Insurance Department found that Bjerke hosted a Sawyer Brown Band concert in February of 2023 with free admission to clients and potential clients, which was calculated by the Department to exceed the $100 limit.

There was no prosecution in 2023 as the process was deferred under the conditions of Bjerke’s probationary license.
