54-year-old Steven James Sturgill of Fargo is under arrest after leading police on a chase early this morning. Sturgill is facing charges for fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, DUI refusal and driving under suspension.
The West Fargo Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation around 1:35 a.m. Thursday morning. Police say Sturgill then fled westbound on 12th Avenue Northwest towards the 1100 block, and a PIT maneuver was executed to stop the vehicle.
Police say the vehicle was later reported stolen and there were no injuries to Sturgill, emergency personnel, or citizens.
