The Kindred girls basketball team showed strength in a 56-44 win over No. 3 Valley City on Tuesday night in Kindred.
“It was a grind, it was an up and down roller coaster,” Kindred head coach Sam Brandt said. “It worked out in our favor.”
Freshman standout Siera Nipstad led the Vikings the whole way. The younger Nipstad dropped a team high 28 points.
“She has zero emotion,” Brandt said. “So, the fact that she’s just like ice in her veins, attacking, knocking them down, she looks real comfortable and I love seeing that.”
Kindred will play Lisbon at home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Valley City will also play at home at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, but the Hi-Liners have a date with Northern Cass.
