RJ Sampson

Weekdays 3p-6pm, Saturday 9:30am-3pm, Sunday Noon-2pm

I am a lifelong resident of Jamestown, and grew up listening to KSJB with the likes of Bobby Gaye and Ole Olson.  I always wanted to be on the air, and in 1991 I got my chance.  I applied at KSJB, but they were not hiring at that time, so I was lucky to get on at KQDJ part time.  Then in 1995, I got a call from KSJB and was offered the afternoon show from 2-6.  I also took over the morning show on KZ93 from Curt Sayler.  During that time I had the privilege of working with both Bobby Gaye and Ole Olson.  After leaving in 2003 to pursue other opportunities and retiring in 2021, I found myself looking to get back into radio.  A chance meeting with Kaye Frisky, and thanks to Seth and Rick, I am back on the air!  In my spare time I paint ceramics, and enjoy those home improvement projects, as well as baking!  Listen for me on Saturday nights from 7-Midngith, and filling in throughout the weekdays as needed.
