Grace Bowers has seemingly been everywhere over the past year. The 17-year-old guitar playing phenom has already played with Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Devon Allman, Margo Price, and Tyler Childers in her blossoming career. And on August 9, Bowers is set to drop her highly anticipated debut album, Wine On Venus. The album is produced by Bowers’ current tour mate, John Osborne of Brothers Osborne. Bowers just shared the album’s title track, which was inspired by her grandmother.
“My nana was 100 years old when she passed away last year. She would always tell me that when she died, she would be drinking wine on Venus,” Bowers said in a statement. “She was a little eccentric but thought that was just something so cool. When she passed, I wrote a song about it.” Bowers is set to make her debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage on her 18th birthday, July 30. She is touring all summer, opening for Brothers Osborne and Red Clay Strays. (Rolling Stone)
