RON JORDAN, KSJB LOCAL NEWS-
An update on a story we told you earlier — A crash just outside of Jamestown on Monday evening killed two children and injured six other people. An SUV carrying all eight people 10 miles west of town was being passed by a semi-truck when the driver lost control and rolled off the road into a water slough. NDHP says first responders arrived to find the driver, Stachia Lawson, and five children coming out of the water on their own. Family members later identified the two children killed in the crash as brothers 10-year-old Kamari Lawson and 7-year-olf Logan Lawson. Their bodies were found under water about 25 feet from where the SUV they were riding in landed in a slough that Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser said was nine feet deep due to the recent rain. Stachia Lawson suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive.
