The budget for the Jamestown School District has been approved for the current academic year. The School Board unanimously passed the budget at their Monday meeting. The budget has $34 million in projected revenue, but includes a $1.6 million deficit. Superintendent Rob Lech says the district will plug that gap by not filling current open position s at the schools. However, Lech emphasized that this is not a sustainable model in future budgets. The budget works out to just over $11,000 per student enrolled in the district.
