The University of North Dakota was selected a host for the NCAA Regional Hockey Tournament in coming years. The NCAA announced that UND has been selected to host the 2027 and 2028 Division I Men’s Hockey Regional tournaments. The events will be held at SHEELS Arena. Grand Forks is no stranger to hosting regionals, doing it 5 times in the past 8 years. The NCAA received more than 1,200 bids from member schools looking to host the tournament. A spokesperson said that the enthusiasm for hockey in North Dakota and at UND were deciding factors in the decision.
