The Minnesota Timberwolves tip off their preseason with a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at 9:30 p.m.
The Wolves recently traded star forward Karl Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks for forward Julius Randle in a blockbuster move. Minnesota finished 56-26 last season, third in the Western Conference. In the conference Finals, the Wolves lost 4-1 to the Dallas Mavericks.
The game will be one of the five preseason games Minnesota plays before it starts the regular season on Oct. 22 in Los Angeles. The Wolves will also play the Lakers on opening night.
