Grand Forks Apartment Fire Causes Evacuations

A fire at a Grand Forks apartment complex on Sunday night caused significant damage, leaving residents without a home.   The blaze began around 11:00 p.m. when residents noticed smoke billowing out of an apartment window.  Fire crews were called and extinguished the fire, but not before the building had been damaged enough to make it un-livable for current residents.  The Grand Forks Fire department said no injuries were reported, and all occupants are receiving assistance from local agencies.   The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
