RON JORDAN, KSJB LOCAL NEWS –

A senior park official told Sen. John Hoeven that the park will not remove any horses, but at least some mares will be given a birth control drug as previously planned.  Park officials earlier announced plans to remove up to 15 horses, mares that haven’t responded to the birth control drug and some of their offspring, to avoid inbreeding problems.
