The Minnesota Timberwolves start their season in Los Angeles as they play the Lakers at 9:00 tonight. Minnesota ended its preseason with a 2-3 record and did beat Los Angeles in the preseason 124-107. The Lakers went 2-4 in the preseason. Minnesota went 56-26 last year and reached the Western Conference Finals, losing 4-1 to the Dallas Mavericks.
The game will be broadcast on TNT. The first game of the season will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the New York Knicks visiting the Boston Celtics.
The Timberwolves will travel to play the Kings after facing the Lakers. Tip-off on Thursday night in Sacramento is scheduled for 9:00.
